Iran hat grobe innenpolitische Probleme. Aber die Touristen hier sind kaum davon betroffen. Solange man nicht auf idiotische Ideen kommt wie Photos von Demonstrationen zu schiessen und ähnliches. Und es lohnt sich hierher zu kommen.
Ich muss zugeben, ich hab keine Ahnung von Politik. Aber nach ner Abendunterhaltung mit zwei netten Iranern in Esfahan wurde mir ein wenig die Augen geöffnet.
Viele Leute haben sich beklagt und sind nicht glücklich. Aber der Druck den auf die Leute ausgeübt wird, ist recht übel, vergleichbar mit China, der Glaube wird von der Regierung ausgenutzt um die Leute zu unterdrücken.
Das heisst nicht das ich den Muslimischen Glauben als falsch erachte, im Gegenteil. Viele der Glaubensrichtlinien erachte ich als sehr Sinnvoll.
Die Familie in Nord- Iran, bei welcher ich für einige Tage bleiben konnte, versuchte mich sogar zu diesem Glauben zu führen. :)
Ich finde die Türkei hat ein gutes Mittelmas gefunden. Die Regierung hier verbietet den Verkauf von Alkohol, lange Hosen sind pflicht und natürlich das weltberühmte Kopftuch der Frauen. Aber diese Dinge sind nichttig meines Erachtens. Weitaus schlimmer finde ich die Tatsache das man hier hinter Gitter kommt nur weil man sich mit Frauen unterhält.
Einer der zwei wurde mehrfach verhaftet weil er mit seiner Schwester unterwegs war, er wurde wieder freigelassen als die Verwandschaft verifiziert wurde.
Abendunterhaltung is nur Beschränkt gegeben, keine Discos, keine Baars. Naja, es gibt Fernsehen und es gibt doch nichts besseres als ein bisschen Propaganda von den Regierung geprüften Fernsehsendern vorm zu Bett gehen.
Die zwei und viele andere würden so gut wie alles dafür geben um aus diesem Land zu kommen. Und es sind nicht nur die Männer. In Esfahan, einer schönen Stadt in zentral Iran findet man edtliche Frauen die einfach nen westlichen Mann suchen um Sie aus dem Land zu heiraten.
Die Glaubensfreiheit, eines unserer Menschenrechte ist hier nicht gegeben.
Es scheint als würde die Regierung alles daran geben die Menschen hier im unwissen zu lassen. Iran is böse, solche Sprüche wie auch das Geld Embargo ist natürlich super für die Regierung um den Leuten zu zeigen das die USA und alle anderen westlichen Länder Sie hassen.
Trotzallem, die Leute hier sind super, Gastfreundlichkeit pur.
Ich verbrachte auch viele Nächte draussen, in der Wüste, in der Nähe der Strasse und auch mitten in Tehran und ich wurde nie beraubt oder attackiert. Nicht das ich jedem das wild campen hier empfehlen würde, ich jedoch hatte keine Probleme. Vielfach erhielte ich auch Einladungen – Schlafplätze üblicherweise sogar mit Essen.
Einmal schlug ich mein Nachtlager an einem zu heiklen Ort auf, jedoch wurde ich von Mohamed aufgelesen und konnte bei ihm und seiner Familie einige Tage verbringen. Es verlieh mir ein wenig Sicht hinter die Vorhänge und auch das Ramadan Fest welches ich da verbringen durfte, war super.
Vor zwei Tagen war ein offizieller Tag für Demonstrationen, demonstrationen gegen die Regierung waren natürlich verboten. Aus Furcht vor neuen Ausschreitungen und deren Weltnachrichten haben Sie dann kurzerhand das Internet im ganzen Lande abgeschaltet.

This country really has political problems. But, if you plan to go to Iran, just do it, for tourists it is harmless. You are in no danger at all as long as you don’t behave totally dumb. And believe me, this country is worth visiting.
I must admit, I have no idea about politics. But a chat with two locals of Esfahan woke me up a little.
I heard of many people that they are not happy with the situation. But the pressure on the people is like in china, maybe with the islam faith it is even worse here.
That doesn’t mean that I think the muslim faith is wrong, not at all. The opposite is the case, what I have read up to now this faith has quite nice guidelines.
The great family I could stay in north iran even tried to convert me. I think the problem is how the government is using the faith to restrict the people is awful.
It starts with simple restrictions. Like you can’t get alcohol legally. You have to wear long pants, the scarf to hide the hair of the women. But those things are peanuts in my opinion.
That muslim guys can get arrested because they are walking and talking with women is awkward. One of those two guys was even arrested because he was with his sister and they let him go again after it was proved that they were related.
They have no idea what to do in the evening, no discos, no baars. But you still can spend the evening with watching one of the nice government proved TV channels. There is nothing better than a little propaganda before going to bed.
These guys and many others would give almost anything to get out of this country. And not only guys, many women in Esfahan are looking for a western husband to bring them out of the country.
The human right in believe whatever you want is not given here.
It looks like the government is trying everything to keep the mind of the people blindfolded. Iran is evil, such speeches and also the money embargo against Iran are good examples used to show Iran people that the USA and other westerns are hating them.
Although these circumstances, the people here are great, hospital and friendly.
I spent many nights outdoors, in the desert, near the street or even in the middle of Tehran and was never robbed or attacked. It’s not that I recommend anyone to wild camp here, but I did it and had no problems. Quite often you get invitations to stay at somebody’s home as well. One time I stayed at a place a bit too dodgy and I was picked up by a guy and I stayed at his home for more than three days. I even got invited to spend one feast during ramadan with his family.
Two days ago was an official day for demonstrations, but you are not allowed to demonstrate against the government.
But because of fear of new elections they just cut off the whole Internet in the country.
