«But as time goes on, they, as all men,
will find that independence was not made for
man — that it is an unnatural state — will do for a while, but will not carry us on safely to
the end»

I had a great time in Graz. On reason might be that Graz is not too big, it’s a city size I can handle. After a while I usually get problems and I feel unconfortable — but nothing like that in Graz. For sure, one other reason was that I went almost about every second day climbing. Timon gave me a couch to sleep on and Verena showed me a few places to visit. I would call Graz the city of students during the time I spent there I haven’t met anybody who knew Graz really good ’cause they all just study or work there and that usually not since a long time. According to climbing, Graz has a few miles outside of the city a place called “Bärenklamm”. Nice special stone, multipitch tracks up to 10 pitches, really big and in the middle of the woods — really a place to visit. My two couchsurfing friends have both just started to climb but only single pitches. I tried to teach them multi pitch climbing. I hope I suceeded. At least we had some fun on the crack and Timon provided the action ’cause he made a fall into the belay point of about 4 to 5 meter. And another time he lost his belay device during rappeling. :) Shit happens. But this kind of shit teaches best.
